We collect as little as practical. This policy describes the website and the current SHIFT app based on the code in use. Store and infrastructure providers may process limited technical or purchase data to deliver their services.
The website
Brainchild does not currently load a visitor analytics script, advertising pixel, session recorder, or marketing cookie on this website. Cloudflare delivers the static site and necessarily processes ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, requested page, and timestamps for security and delivery. Its handling and retention are governed by its service configuration and policies.
The free web reset runs in your browser. The page does not send your selected exercise or interaction to Brainchild.
Email and feedback
If you email Brainchild, we receive your address and whatever you choose to write. Do not include sensitive health information you do not want in email. We use messages to respond to you and retain them only as operationally or legally necessary.
The site's previous signup endpoint is not currently available through the static deployment. Links that invite email-list or product feedback therefore open an email to Brainchild instead of pretending a submission succeeded.
SHIFT data stored on your device
SHIFT stores settings, exercise history, check-ins, optional notes, and similar app state locally on your device. Brainchild does not use those entries for advertising and does not intentionally transmit free-text reset notes or check-ins as analytics.
Purchases and subscriptions
SHIFT uses the Apple App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat to offer and verify purchases. Those providers process transaction, product, device, and app-user identifiers needed to complete and restore purchases. Brainchild may receive subscription status and pseudonymous purchase identifiers, but not your full payment-card details.
Optional companion messages
If you choose the in-app companion, the message you submit is sent to Brainchild's API and the configured language-model service so a response can be generated. Do not use the companion for emergencies or send identifying medical details. Companion messages are not used for advertising. Retention and provider terms should be confirmed before relying on the feature for sensitive information.
What we do not collect intentionally
- Advertising identifiers for targeting
- Precise location
- Contact lists, photos, microphone recordings, or browsing history
- Free-text reset notes as analytics events
- Emotional disclosures connected to an advertising profile
Your choices and rights
You can use the web reset without an account. You can delete local SHIFT data by using available app controls or removing the app, subject to operating-system backups. Purchase records remain with the relevant store. To ask what Brainchild holds about you, request correction or deletion, or withdraw consent, email [email protected]. Identity verification or legal retention may be required.
Children and emergencies
SHIFT is not medical treatment or emergency care. If you may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis service in your location. Brainchild does not knowingly use the website to collect personal information from children.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Analytics will not be silently added; this policy must be updated before any new measurement is enabled.
